// the take
A Tauri v1 tutorial project (in Chinese) that builds out a desktop toolbox app called OhMyBox, using React, Vite, UnoCSS and a Rust/WASM module for a Game of Life demo. It's aimed at developers learning Tauri by following along with real feature code rather than toy examples, particularly Chinese-speaking devs following the author's companion articles.
Demonstrates real integration patterns beyond the official docs: a Rust WASM module built with wasm-pack/rsw and consumed from the frontend, native system tray/menu wiring in src-tauri/src/omb, and filesystem calls bridged between Rust (omb/fs.rs) and TS (system/fs.ts). It also ships a working auto-updater script and a GitHub Actions release workflow, which is usually the most painful part of shipping a Tauri app and is often skipped in tutorials. The i18n setup with separate locale namespaces (en, zh_CN, zh_HK) is a reasonably complete localization example.
Last pushed November 2022 and never updated for Tauri v2, whose capability/permission model and IPC changed enough that the patterns here won't carry over directly. Most of the deeper explanation lives off-repo in a WeChat group, a Zhihu column, and a paid WeChat official account, so non-Chinese-reading developers get the code but not the context. The Windows install note pins wasm-pack to v0.9.1 with no documented path past that, which points to unresolved Windows build friction. It's a teaching/demo app, not a library someone can depend on — you're copying patterns out of it, not installing it.
