A community wiki for React tooling decisions — state management, styling, data fetching — pitched as a neutral comparison resource rather than an opinionated guide. Started by Redux maintainer Mark Erikson in 2021. It never got past the skeleton stage.
The scope is well-defined: it covers the categories where React developers actually get stuck (state, styling, build tooling). The existing state management pages are written by people who know the tools deeply, so the Redux and XState entries in particular are more accurate than most third-party comparisons. Built on Docusaurus, so the structure is already in place if contributors ever show up.
Last touched November 2022 and never reached critical mass — most sections are stubs or empty overviews with one paragraph. The tool landscape it was supposed to cover has moved significantly: Vite won the build tool war, Zustand overtook MobX, React Query is now TanStack Query. Reading it now means learning the 2021 consensus, not the current one. With 11 forks and no active maintainers, there is no realistic path to it becoming the resource it set out to be.
