:memo: a list of graphic programming resources

A personal bookmark list from mattdesl covering PBR, color space, lighting, post-processing, and distance-field rendering — mostly links to GDC/SIGGRAPH slides and old graphics blogs. It's for someone learning real-time rendering fundamentals who wants a reading list instead of a tutorial.

The links are genuinely good — GDC talks from Valve, Frostbite, and Black Ops team members, plus foundational posts like Fix Your Timestep and the iq/Aras/Fabian Giesen blogs that are still worth reading years later. It's organized by topic (PBR, color space, NPR, math) rather than being a flat dump, so you can actually navigate to what you need. The bloggers section alone is a solid who's-who of rendering engineers from the 2010s.

No content here, just a link list, so it's only as useful as the links staying alive — and several already point to dead blogs (filmicgames archives, codeflow.org) or paywalled Amazon textbook listings. Nothing has been added since 2020, so there's zero coverage of anything post-2020: no mention of Nanite, modern ray tracing APIs, or neural rendering. The gh-readme-scrape bulk-download tool it recommends is an unmaintained side project by the same author, adding a fragile dependency to what should be a static list.
