Integration of Jasmine Spec framework with Node.js
A Node.js wrapper around Jasmine 1.x that predates the official jasmine-npm package. It's for anyone stuck maintaining old Node projects that still use the `ddescribe`/`iit` Karma-forked syntax, but the README itself says to use `jasmine` or `jasmine-npm` instead.
Async test support via a `done` callback predates a lot of what became standard in later test runners, and per-test timeout overrides are a nice touch. The `--captureExceptions` flag solving the 'require() typo silently returns exit code 0' problem shows someone actually got bitten by this in CI and fixed it properly. CoffeeScript and Literate CoffeeScript spec support is thorough if you're in that ecosystem.
Ships a vendored, forked Jasmine 1.3.1 — you're not getting upstream bug fixes or the Jasmine 2.0 feature set, and the 2.0 branch was explicitly abandoned. README only lists Node 10/12 as current with 8/6/4 as 'deprecated', which in 2026 means every listed version is long past EOL; no sign of testing against modern Node. The project has been in self-declared 'maintenance mode' for years with no active feature work, so you're adopting something the maintainer has already told you to migrate off of.
