📚 Lista de libros sobre programación en Español y gratis
A Spanish-language library of free programming books and guides, backed by an Astro site (librosgratis.dev) rather than just a markdown list. Good fit for Spanish-speaking developers or anyone building a similar resource aggregator and wanting to see how to do link rot mitigation and content structuring right.
Self-hosts PDFs and auto-generates epub versions via a build script, so a big chunk of the catalog survives even if the original source disappears. A single typed library.ts file is the source of truth and the README is generated/mirrored from it, so the two never drift out of sync. There's a real CI job (check-links.yml) that verifies every external link still resolves, which most awesome-lists never bother with. The site itself has per-book read/download pages and a sitemap, not just a giant README wall of links.
It's a content list, not a tool or library — there's no code to evaluate for correctness, just editorial judgment, and that judgment is entirely manual via PR review with no automated quality or duplicate-detection gate. Self-hosting copyrighted PDFs directly in the repo is a legal gray area the README brushes off with one line ('priorizamos recursos legales') without explaining how that's actually verified per submission. Spanish-only by design, so it's a dead end for anyone whose interest list doesn't include Spanish-language learning resources. No versioning or changelog for the catalog itself, so there's no way to see what got added or removed between visits without diffing library.ts by hand.
