// the take

A personal grab-bag repo from a Chinese iOS engineer, mostly link-listing to his own blog/wiki rather than a single project. The actual code is a handful of unrelated teaching exercises: a progressively-built Objective-C interpreter in Swift, a Lisp-to-C transpiler, GoF pattern demos in Objective-C, and a vendored QuickJS build for Xcode. Useful for someone studying interpreter construction or iOS architecture patterns, not for anyone looking for a library to depend on.

The OCInterpreter_1 through _6 progression is a genuinely good teaching artifact - each version adds a concrete concern (lexer, AST, parser, symbol table, static analyzer) so you can diff two folders and see exactly what changed. The ArchitectureOCDemo folder gives worked, compilable examples of design patterns (factory method, bridge, state) in real Objective-C rather than pseudocode. Embedding a full QuickJS checkout inside an Xcode project is a handy reference if you want to see JS-engine-in-iOS wiring without hunting through QuickJS's own docs.

The README is just a flat, unannotated list of Chinese-language blog post titles linking out to a wiki - there's no entry point, no explanation of what's in the repo, and nothing for a non-Chinese reader to go on. None of the subprojects are packaged as libraries: no podspec/SPM manifest, no tests, no CI, so nothing here is pip/pod-installable, it's copy-paste-and-read code. The vendored QuickJS snapshot is dated 2020-11-08 and frozen in time, so it's already years behind upstream fixes if anyone mistook it for a usable embed target rather than a study artifact.

We read the README, the directory tree and a key source file in October 2026. Nobody pays to be listed. How we judge →
