mohitqx/simple-inventory---low-stock-tracker
A lightweight CLI application written in C that simulates a warehouse inventory management system.
A single-file C program that models a toy inventory system in memory: it flags items under 5 units, counts out-of-stock items, and does a canned restock pass over a hardcoded array. It's a C-fundamentals exercise, not a tool anyone would run against real inventory data.
The scope is small enough to read start to finish in one file, which makes it a reasonable example of array traversal and in-place mutation for someone early in learning C. The low-stock/out-of-stock logic is simple enough to verify by inspection.
No persistence — everything lives in an in-memory array that resets on every run, so it can't actually track anything across sessions. No tests, no Makefile or build instructions beyond implied `gcc main.C`, and the file is literally named `main.C` with an uppercase extension, which trips up case-sensitive toolchains. The README's 'Real-World Uses' and 'Where this idea is actually used' sections are generic filler bolted onto a toy program — hospitals and e-commerce systems aren't going to run this. Zero error handling on user input is also likely given the described feature set.
