[WebExtension] Open GitHub notifications with shortcuts in Gmail.

A browser extension that adds keyboard shortcuts to Gmail for triaging GitHub notification emails — open a thread in GitHub's mail view, mute it, or trigger the primary action button without touching the mouse. Built for developers who get a high volume of GitHub notifications and already live in Gmail's keyboard-driven workflow.

Extremely narrow scope done well — it does three things (open, mute, list-view action) and doesn't try to be a general Gmail enhancer. No build step: the actual logic is plain JS injected via content script, so reading chrome/src/inject/inject.js tells you the whole story in minutes. Mute-via-background-window is a clever workaround for not having API access from inside Gmail's page context — it reuses the user's existing GitHub session instead of requiring OAuth.

Last pushed August 2022 — over three years stale, and it depends entirely on Gmail's DOM structure, which Google changes without notice; there's a real chance the selectors are already broken on current Gmail. Chrome and Firefox versions are two parallel directories with duplicated inject.js/manifest.json rather than a shared core, so any fix has to be applied twice and probably wasn't. No tests at all, which matters more than usual here since the entire extension is DOM-scraping against someone else's UI. Manifest v2-era structure (chrome/manifest.json) is a concern given Chrome's MV2 deprecation — worth checking before recommending it, since it may already be delisted from the Chrome Web Store.
