A framework for serving GraphQL from Laravel

Lighthouse is a schema-first GraphQL framework for Laravel that maps directives directly onto Eloquent models and relationships instead of making you write resolvers by hand. It's aimed at Laravel teams who want a GraphQL API without building pagination, N+1 batching, and auth checks from scratch.

Directives like @paginate, @hasMany, and @find bind schema fields straight to Eloquent, so a lot of CRUD and relationship querying needs zero resolver code. It batches resolution to avoid N+1s and supports schema caching for production. Federation is built in for teams running Lighthouse behind a gateway with other services. Docs are versioned per major release (2 through 6 plus master), so upgrading doesn't leave you reading docs for the wrong version.

The README states this exact repo is being retired in favor of spawnia/lighthouse — stars, forks, and issues here won't reflect the live project going forward, so anyone bookmarking or filing bugs against nuwave/lighthouse is already behind. It's PHP/Laravel-only, no path if your stack changes. Directive-heavy schemas move business logic into the schema file itself, which reads fine for simple CRUD but gets opaque once you're layering auth, validation, and custom resolvers on the same field. No hosted playground or API-exploration tooling is included, so you're relying on external GraphQL clients from day one.
