NixOs & Neovim

This is Thibault Duplessis's (lichess creator) personal NixOS and Neovim configuration, covering flake-based system and home-manager setups for two machines plus a full LazyVim-derived editor config. It's aimed at people who already run NixOS and want a real-world example to steal from, not a general-purpose starter template.

The lichess-specific modules (lila.nix, fishnet-local/prod.nix, lila-http.nix) are a rare look at how the actual production maintainer runs those services locally, which is more useful than any tutorial. Host configs are cleanly split between hardware-specific modules (amdgpu, Framework ectool, motherboard) and shared home-manager modules, so you can see what's machine-specific versus portable. It goes beyond the usual shell/editor dotfiles into less-common territory like ZMK keyboard firmware keymaps and keyd remapping, done as first-class Nix modules rather than bolted-on scripts.

The README says outright it's not meant to be reused, and that shows: there's no module-level documentation, so understanding anything requires reading the Nix source directly, module by module. A large fraction of the system config (amdgpu, specific motherboard, Framework-only hardware.nix) is dead weight unless you own the exact same hardware. There's no CI, no way to check a given module builds in isolation, and no changelog, so pulling in an update means diffing the whole flake.lock and hoping nothing broke. The repo mixes serious infra config with personal clutter (wallpapers, Starcraft 2 scripts, a Skyrim module), which dilutes the signal for anyone browsing it as a NixOS reference.
