Awesome IoT. A collaborative list of great resources about IoT Framework, Library, OS, Platform
A long-running awesome list covering the IoT ecosystem: frameworks, SDKs, RTOSes, protocols, platforms, and cloud services. It's a starting point for developers trying to get their bearings in the fragmented IoT space, not a guide to any one technology.
Covers the full stack from bare-metal (seL4, Zephyr, FreeRTOS) to cloud platforms (AWS IoT, Azure IoT Hub, Thingsboard), which is genuinely useful when you're evaluating where in the stack to plug in. The protocol section is solid — MQTT, CoAP, LoRa, OpenThread, PJON all present. Star counts and last-activity hints (the ⧗ numbers) give you a quick freshness signal without clicking through. The breadth means it surfaces things like PJON or macchina.io that don't show up in mainstream searches.
Maintenance is visibly inconsistent — some entries have dead links, some projects (Brillo, Artik Cloud, Qeo Tinq) are long abandoned with no tombstone. The list has accumulated obvious spam in recent sections: multiple single-binary SCADA tools with 0–2 stars, a Vedic astrology API, a pay-per-call web search service — none of which belong here, and their presence suggests the PR review bar has collapsed. No distinction between actively maintained and archived projects means you have to click every link to find out if anything still compiles. The 'Others' sections are a dumping ground with no coherent selection criteria.
