// the take

This is the companion code dump for a Chinese-language print book ('跟老齐学Python:轻松入门') teaching Python to absolute beginners, organized as hundreds of small numbered scripts by chapter (fibonacci, fractions, iterators, decorators, a toy web app). It's for someone reading that specific book side-by-side with the code, not a general-purpose reference.

Covers a genuinely wide beginner curriculum in working, runnable snippets rather than just slides - fractions as a class, generators vs recursion for fibonacci, decorators, multiple inheritance and MRO are all there as standalone runnable examples. The 3code/web folder is a small but real end-to-end app (routing, handlers, templates, a sqlite-backed user model) that goes beyond toy scripts and shows how the pieces fit together.

Everything - README, comments, book - is in Chinese, so it's unusable without reading the language. The README itself says the print book is discontinued and points readers to a different repo (PythonBook) for the maintained version, meaning this one is explicitly superseded by its own author. There's no requirements.txt, no tests, and the codebase straddles Python 2 and 3 (separate '...py' and '...p3.py' files for the same exercise), with compiled .pyc bytecode and binary sqlite/xlsx fixtures committed straight into the repo. Last push was January 2024 but it reads like a frozen snapshot of a book that stopped being updated years before that.

We read the README, the directory tree and a key source file in October 2026. Nobody pays to be listed. How we judge →
