// the find
rauchg/blog
This is the actual source for rauchg.com, Vercel CEO Guillermo Rauch's personal blog, built on Next.js App Router with each post living in its own route as an MDX file. It's useful as a reference for anyone building a blog on App Router who wants to see route-level code splitting and custom MDX component overrides in a real, high-traffic production site rather than a starter template.
Each post is its own folder under app/(post)/{year}/{slug}/page.mdx, so per-post JS/assets (like the code-golf demo.tsx or chart.tsx) don't get pulled into every other post's bundle. The mdx-components.ts + components/post/ setup overrides every markdown element (h1, blockquote, code, table) with a real component, giving one consistent style guide instead of ad hoc CSS. OG image generation is done per-post via app/(post)/og/[id]/route.tsx using next/og, and there's a working atom feed route and a Redis-backed view counter (app/redis.ts, app/api/view) if you want a working example of either.
posts.json is a hand-maintained index parallel to the actual page.mdx files, so nothing enforces the two stay in sync if a post is added or renamed. It's wired directly to Vercel's `vc` CLI and a Redis instance for view counts, so lifting the patterns out means untangling Vercel-specific deploy commands and infra, not just copying components. There are no tests at all, and because this is someone's actual blog rather than a template, a lot of the code (about page, links redirector, doge.tsx) is one-off personal content you'll delete before reusing any of it.
