taishi-i/awesome-ChatGPT-repositories

★ 3,280 · Python · CC0-1.0 · updated Oct 2026

A curated list of open source GitHub repositories related to ChatGPT, the OpenAI API, and Codex. Searchable via Claude Code and Codex skills.

A 2,700+ entry awesome-list of ChatGPT/OpenAI/Codex-related repos, now exposed as a search skill for Claude Code, Codex, and other agents so you can query it from the CLI instead of scrolling a giant markdown file. Useful as a quick discovery tool for someone building in the LLM-tooling space, less useful as a ranked 'best of' resource.

The skill packaging is the actual innovation here — bundling the same JSON data as a Claude Code plugin, Codex plugin, and generic `npx skills` package with category:/language: filters beats paging through a 2,700-line README. It's genuinely multilingual (English, Japanese, Traditional/Simplified Chinese docs, and queries), which most awesome-lists don't bother with. Data is CC0-licensed, so you can pull the raw JSON into your own tool without attribution hassle.

'Curated' is a stretch — several entries in the 'latest additions' section read like promotional blurbs copy-pasted straight from the submitter's own README (openusage, chat-on-steroids), with no sign anyone vetted the project before merging the PR. Search quality depends on static JSON snapshots checked into the repo, not live GitHub data, so star counts and rankings go stale until the next `npx skills update` or plugin reinstall. The README says results are 'ranked by relevance, star count, and project quality' but gives zero detail on how project quality is scored, so you can't tell if a top result is actually good or just recently added. At this scale, growth looks driven by accept-everything PRs rather than curation, which dilutes the handful of genuinely important repos (LangChain, etc.) among hundreds of indie self-promo entries.
