Module source code for the React Query Essentials course

This is the lesson-by-lesson source code for Tanner Linsley's paid React Query Essentials course, not a library or app in its own right. It's for someone who bought the course and wants working code to diff against, or for anyone willing to reverse-engineer a curriculum from folder names since the checkouts roughly map to React Query's core features.

Each numbered folder is a complete, runnable CRA app rather than a diff or snippet, so you can clone a single lesson and run it standalone. The progression (basic queries, loading/error states, devtools, window focus refetch, staleTime/cacheTime, query keys, parallel and dependent queries, retries, cancellation) is a genuinely sane map of React Query's mental model, useful as a reference outline even without the paywalled videos. Having both a starting App.js and a finished App.final.js per lesson makes it easy to check your own attempt against the answer.

It targets React Query v3 on Create React App, both of which are now legacy: CRA is deprecated and the project itself has since been renamed TanStack Query with a different API surface (v4/v5 renamed cacheTime to gcTime, changed the QueryClient config shape, etc.), so several lessons no longer reflect current usage. No commit since January 2023 and no CI, tests, or issue triage — this is a frozen course artifact, not a maintained project. Every folder duplicates its own node_modules-generating boilerplate (yarn.lock, CRA scaffolding, near-identical package.json), so the repo is mostly copy-pasted filler rather than dense signal, and there's no top-level README explaining which lesson maps to which concept beyond the folder name.
