Take a list of domains and probe for working HTTP and HTTPS servers

httprobe takes a list of domains on stdin and reports which ones respond over HTTP and/or HTTPS. It's a recon triage tool for pentesters and bug bounty hunters piping in large domain lists from subdomain enumeration tools before running heavier scanners against them.

Does one thing and gets out of the way — stdin in, URLs out, so it composes cleanly with subfinder/amass/httpx-style pipelines. Concurrency and timeout are both exposed as flags, which matters when you're probing thousands of subdomains. The -p/-s combo for custom protocol:port pairs and --prefer-https cover the common recon variations without bloating the interface.

No activity since mid-2024 and the tool has been effectively superseded by httpx from ProjectDiscovery, which does everything this does plus title/tech/status-code detection — most people using this today are on old muscle memory or a legacy script. No option to output status codes, titles, or response headers, so you immediately need to pipe into something else for anything beyond a yes/no liveness check. No tests in the repo, and error handling for malformed input isn't documented.
