A Go package for communicating with the Twilio API.

The official Go client for Twilio's REST API. It provides generated bindings for the main API surface, plus TwiML builders, request signature validation, and access token helpers. It suits Go backends that send SMS, place calls, or handle Twilio webhooks, and it was pushed to in late September 2026.

The bindings are generated from Twilio's OpenAPI specs, so new endpoints arrive by regenerating rather than by hand, and the 1.20.0 move to application/json request bodies shows the pipeline keeping pace with the API. Paging offers three forms (List for eager fetches, Stream for lazy iteration, Page for manual control), which covers both small lookups and large exports without hand-written loops. The request validator, TwiML builders, and JWT helpers cover the webhook and client-SDK pieces that people most often get wrong by hand, and the standalone-product constructors let you import only the services you use.

Almost every field is a pointer, and the README examples dereference them directly (`*resp.Status`) with no nil checks, so a missing field is a panic waiting to happen. The error-handling example does an unchecked `err.(*twilioclient.TwilioRestError)` assertion, which panics on network failures, not just API errors. Several README snippets won't compile as written: the paging example assigns to `resp` and `err` before declaring them, and the access token and TaskRouter snippets put statements at package level. Because the code under rest/ is generated, a bug in a response model has to be fixed in twilio-oai-generator and then released before this repo picks it up.
