A collaboration application built with the Twilio Video iOS SDK
A sample video conferencing app built on Twilio's Programmable Video iOS SDK, with a speaker grid, presentation layout, dominant speaker and network quality indicators, and the Bandwidth Profile API. It is for iOS developers who want a working reference for the Video SDK inside a SwiftUI app with real state management, not a minimal quickstart.
The SDK stays out of the views. The TwilioVideo integration sits behind Combine view models and stores such as VideoStore and LocalParticipantManager, and the Video-InternalTests folder has mocks for those seams, so the pattern can be unit tested. The app also covers parts most sample apps skip: CallKit (CallManager.swift), Picture-in-Picture, camera switching, and an AppSettings store that exposes bandwidth profile mode, track switch-off, video codec, and content preferences as configurable options. The README is blunt about what is not production-ready, namely the passcode token flow, which saves a team from finding that out in review.
Auth is a demo. The client only knows the passcode flow in CommunityAuthStore, so you have to design your own token endpoint and sign-in before this is usable beyond a demo, and the sample does not show that half. The project also carries leftovers: Main.storyboard is still present next to the SwiftUI screens, and PictureInPicture/Test sits inside the app target, so it is not obvious which pieces are live. Testing is fragile. Known issue #12 means ⌘U crashes after a device run, and the UI tests need Twilio-internal credentials, so outside contributors can run only the unit plan.
