A curated list of amazingly awesome PHP libraries, resources and shiny things.
A giant link dump of PHP libraries, frameworks, and tools organized into categories from frameworks and ORMs down to static analysis and PDF generation. It's for PHP developers doing the 'what's out there for X' search instead of a trending or GitHub search query.
- Breadth is genuinely useful — categories cover things people forget exist, like PHAR managers, mutation testing (Infection), and dependency-rule enforcement (Deptrac)
- Actively maintained with real PR review via CONTRIBUTING/COLLABORATING docs, not a one-time dump that rotted — recent additions like Tempest, Mago, and Scramble show it's tracking current PHP ecosystem shifts
- Table of contents and category structure make it skimmable instead of a wall of text, which matters at this size
- Every entry is a one-line description with zero opinion — no indication of which options in a category (e.g. the five ORMs, the four templating engines) are actually worth picking versus legacy or niche
- No signal on maintenance health per link — abandoned libraries (last commit years ago) sit next to actively developed ones with identical formatting
- Pure link list means its value degrades the moment Packagist or a good search engine does the filtering for you — it's a starting point, not a decision aid
- No versioning or PHP-compatibility notes, so you can land on something that doesn't support your PHP version without reading further
