// the take
A single developer's personal resume, kept as Markdown and converted to HTML via Pandoc, offered up as a fork-and-edit template. It's aimed at Android/mobile devs who want a quick, low-effort resume site rather than a proper templating tool. Most of the README is actually a (genuinely decent) guide on how to write a good technical resume using the FAB framework.
Markdown-to-HTML via Pandoc is a sensible, low-maintenance workflow — write once, regenerate styled HTML with one shell script instead of fighting a WYSIWYG resume builder. The FAB (Feature/Advantage/Benefit) writing advice in the README is concrete and useful career guidance, not filler. Single CSS file keeps the styling trivial to read and restyle for anyone forking it.
This isn't a template system — it's one person's actual resume with no placeholder fields or variables, so 'using' it means manually finding and replacing someone else's job history and CSS by hand. No commits since December 2020, so it predates years of Pandoc changes and there's no indication the conversion script still works cleanly out of the box. The README and most example content are Chinese-only, which limits who can actually use the advice section. `to_html.sh` requires a local Pandoc install and hardcodes the `-T` title flag inline rather than taking it as an argument, so every fork needs the script edited, not just the resume content.
