IFTTT/RazzleDazzle
A simple keyframe-based animation framework for iOS, written in Swift. Perfect for scrolling app intros.
RazzleDazzle is a small Swift library for building scroll-driven keyframe animations on iOS, mainly for paging app-intro screens. It targets UIKit/AutoLayout apps that want JazzHands-style scrubbing animations without carrying over the old Objective-C dependency.
The keyframe model is genuinely clean: an Animatable protocol plus an Interpolatable protocol means adding a new animatable property (border width, path position, whatever) is a few lines, not a fork of the library. The AnimatedPagingScrollViewController solves a real, annoying problem — paging layouts that stay correct under rotation and iPad split view without fighting AutoLayout. It also ships a decent spec suite (RAZAlphaAnimationSpec, RAZEasingFunctionSpec, etc.) covering the animation and interpolation logic, not just a token test file.
No Swift Package Manager support — only Carthage and CocoaPods, both of which are increasingly dead weight in a modern Xcode project. Last push was October 2023 and the README still references Swift 3.0 and Xcode 8 era constraints; there's no indication it's been touched for SwiftUI interop or recent Swift concurrency rules. It's UIKit-only and animates by polling scrollViewDidScroll time values rather than anything resembling a declarative timeline, so it won't fit a SwiftUI-based codebase at all. Single contributor, no CI badge or workflow visible in the tree, so you're trusting that the specs are actually run anywhere.
