daimajia/AndroidViewAnimations
Cute view animation collection.
A drop-in library of ~40 canned View animations (Tada, Shake, BounceIn, FlipOutX, etc.) for classic Android View-based UIs, modeled directly on Animate.css. It's for someone maintaining an older XML-layout app who wants a one-line way to add a flourish to a button or list item without hand-writing ObjectAnimator code.
The API is genuinely as simple as it looks: `YoYo.with(Techniques.Tada).duration(700).playOn(view)` and you're done, no setup boilerplate. Each effect is a thin wrapper around the standard `ObjectAnimator`/`PropertyValuesHolder` APIs, so it composes fine with duration, repeat count, and interpolators you already understand. The catalog is broad enough (attention, entrances, exits, flips, rotates, slides, zooms) that you rarely need to write a custom animator for common UI polish.
Dead since August 2021 — no Kotlin, no Jetpack Compose support, and the Gradle coordinate (`com.daimajia.androidanimations:library:2.4@aar`) was published to jcenter, which shut down in 2021, so it won't resolve via plain Maven Central without adding JitPack as a workaround. It also pulls in a second unmaintained project (AnimationEasingFunctions) just for easing curves, doubling your stale-dependency surface. The `library` module is dozens of near-identical animator subclasses (one file per effect) rather than a parameterized implementation, which makes it easy to read but tedious to extend or patch. There's no test suite in the repo at all, so any behavior beyond what's in the demo app is unverified.
