An amazing and convenient Android image slider.
A ViewPager-based image carousel widget for Android with built-in indicators, load-from-URL/drawable/file support via Picasso, and a grab bag of page transform animations. Aimed at pre-2016-era Android apps that wanted an out-of-the-box banner/slider without writing their own PagerAdapter.
Reasonably clean internal split between SliderTypes, Indicators, Transformers, and Tricks (custom scroller, infinite adapter wrapper) rather than one monolithic view. Ships 13+ pre-built ViewPager transform effects (cube, flip, accordion, zoom, etc.) which used to be genuinely annoying to hand-roll. Simple declarative XML usage — drop in `SliderLayout`, feed it slides, done.
Dead since October 2020 and it shows: dependencies are `com.android.support:support-v4`, Picasso 2.3.2, and NineOldAndroids — the last of which is an ObjectAnimator backport for pre-Honeycomb devices that's pointless on any minSdk this library would realistically target. No AndroidX migration, no Kotlin, wraps the legacy `ViewPager` instead of `ViewPager2`. Maven artifacts are published as `apklib`/via jcenter, which has been shut down for years, so a from-scratch `compile` per the README instructions likely won't resolve at all today. No tests anywhere in the tree, and the only CI is a Travis config that's effectively unusable for free OSS builds now.
