Colored logcat script which only shows log entries for a specific application package.

A single Python script that wraps adb logcat and filters output to just the log lines from one Android app package, since PIDs change on every reinstall. It's for Android developers who are tired of eyeballing logcat noise from every other process on the device.

Does exactly one thing and gets out of the way — no config file, no plugin system, just `pidcat com.your.package`. Colorized, per-tag output makes scanning logs much faster than raw logcat. Ships with bash and zsh completion scripts, and is packaged for Homebrew and the AUR so most users never touch pip.

It's a single ~400-line script with no test suite in the tree, so regressions (like the well-known Python 3 compatibility breakage this project has had historically) can sit for a while before being caught. Hard dependency on a specific coreutils version (8.30+) is a sharp edge that surfaces as a cryptic failure rather than a clear error message. Last push was May 2024, so it's effectively in maintenance mode — fine for a tool this small, but don't expect new device/logcat format quirks to get fixed quickly.
