Juanpe/About-SwiftUI

★ 7,084 · Swift · updated Oct 2022

Gathering all info published, both by Apple and by others, about new framework SwiftUI.

A link-dump README repository collecting SwiftUI learning resources: Apple docs, WWDC videos, tutorials, articles, and example projects. It was useful in 2019-2020 when SwiftUI was new and the community hadn't organized yet. It's been abandoned since October 2022.

- Saved real time in 2019-2021 when SwiftUI resources were scattered — having WWDC videos, Apple tutorials, and community articles in one place had genuine value

- Covers the full early SwiftUI ecosystem: architecture patterns (Redux, MVVM, Flux), UIKit interop, testing with ViewInspector, and dozens of component repos

- The community repository section is a decent historical snapshot of what SwiftUI UI components looked like before Apple filled the gaps

- Dead since 2022 — SwiftUI has shipped Observable, SwiftData, new navigation APIs, and visionOS support since the last update; none of that is here

- No actual code — it's 100% links, many of which point to content written for iOS 13-15 that is now outdated or superseded by Apple's own docs

- Several linked repos and articles are themselves abandoned, and Medium links frequently go stale or paywalled with no warning

- In 2026 this is just noise: Apple's own SwiftUI documentation, Hacking with Swift, and Swift by Sundell are better maintained and searchable than a frozen README
