Wenli Zhang's CV as Web Front-End Engineer
A personal CV built as a scrolling single-page web app, using pagePiling.js for the full-screen section transitions. It's one person's résumé turned into a front-end showcase piece, last touched in 2021 with tooling from around 2015.
The visual design is clean and the pagePiling.js scroll effect works well as a portfolio demo technique. The SCSS is organized into small, single-purpose partials rather than one monolithic file. An InDesign source file is included alongside the web version, so there's a printable artifact too. MIT license with an explicit note on reuse keeps the permission story simple.
The build toolchain is bower + gulp, both effectively dead — getting this running locally today means fighting deprecated packages. No responsive behavior worth speaking of; the mobile SCSS partial exists but this layout was clearly designed for desktop. It hasn't been updated in five years, so any contact links or project references in the actual CV content are likely stale. At its core this is one person's résumé, not a reusable template — the 220 forks suggest people want one, but there's no abstraction to help them actually swap in their own content.
