:boat: 关于炫酷的Unity3D Shader | About Cool Unity3D Shaders

A long-running companion repo to a Chinese-language CSDN blog series teaching Unity shader basics, from fixed-function shaders through surface shaders to simple screen-space post effects (radial blur, pixelation, Gaussian blur, oil painting). It's aimed at beginners learning ShaderLab/CG fundamentals in Unity, not production use.

The progression is genuinely well-structured: each numbered volume builds one concept at a time (vertex colors, alpha blending, culling, custom surface lighting models, rim lighting) so a newcomer can follow the chain from 'single color shader' to a working car-paint MatCap shader. Several screen-effect volumes (motion blur, pixelation, oil painting) include the paired C# ImageEffect script alongside the .shader file, so you see the full Camera.OnRenderImage wiring, not just isolated shader code. Shader template files (surface/unlit/image-effect) in Volume 08 are a handy starting skeleton if you're writing your own from scratch.

Everything targets Unity's old built-in render pipeline — no URP/HDRP equivalents, and given the last push was 2021 and the techniques date to 2014-2016, a chunk of this won't port cleanly to current Unity versions. All explanatory text and image captions are Chinese-only with no English translation beyond the top-level description, which limits who can actually use the write-ups (the code comments may also be Chinese). The README is just a wall of blog screenshots hot-linked from an external CSDN CDN — several of the older image URLs are already broken/watermarked, and there's no inline code or explanation in the README itself, so you must go spelunking into each Volume folder to see actual shader source. No license file is visible in the tree, which matters if you want to lift code into a commercial project.
