Starter pack for an awesome Udemy course

A bare-bones Redux + React boilerplate built for Stephen Grider's Udemy Redux course, not a general-purpose starter kit. It gives you a working webpack/gulp build and a minimal actions/reducers/components skeleton so course viewers can start coding along without configuring tooling themselves.

- Minimal surface area — one action file, one reducer, one component, so there's nothing to untangle before you start editing

- Working build pipeline out of the box (npm install && npm start) with no version conflicts to debug, since it's frozen to whatever versions shipped with the course

- Includes a test scaffold (test_helper.js, app_test.js) showing how the course wires up testing, which most throwaway starters skip

- Dead project — last push was early 2024 but the code itself is Redux-early-era (react-redux with old connect patterns), no hooks, no Redux Toolkit, nothing you'd write today

- README is two sentences and a git clone command; zero documentation of what's actually in the skeleton or why

- Only useful in lockstep with the paid course — as a standalone starter it teaches outdated Redux patterns (manual action creators, no configureStore, no RTK Query) that will actively mislead someone learning Redux in 2026

- No CI, no linting config beyond .babelrc, no indication these dependencies still install cleanly on current Node
