// the take

A small Nuxt app that turns your GitHub pull request history into a personal showcase page and RSS feed, listing the 50 most recent PRs you've contributed to. It's aimed at open-source maintainers and contributors who want a simple 'here's what I've shipped' page without building one from scratch.

Setup is genuinely minimal — one GitHub token with no special scopes and you're running, no OAuth app registration or database config required. The RSS feed (server/routes/feed.xml.ts) means the data is consumable outside the site itself, which is a nice touch antfu's original inspiration didn't emphasize. The exclude-orgs/exclude-repos/hide-private-repos env vars are a sensible, low-effort privacy control for anyone whose GitHub activity spans both OSS and work repos.

It's single-user by design — there's no concept of accounts, so running this for a team or a 'showcase our contributors' use case means standing up one deployment per person. The PR list is capped at a GitHub token's search API results with no pagination beyond PR_COUNT, so anyone with genuinely high PR volume across many orgs won't get a complete picture. There's no visible caching layer in server/api/contributions.ts beyond whatever Nuxt/Vercel edge caching you get for free, so each page load is presumably hitting the GitHub Search API live, which will get rate-limited fast under any real traffic given GitHub's low unauthenticated/token search rate limits. It's also a young, single-maintainer project (201 stars, no CI/test setup visible) — fine for a personal site, risky if you want it to keep working unattended.
