This is the written form of Dave Cheney's well-known talk on idiomatic Go style — short essays on simplicity, naming, error handling, and package design. It's not a library or tool, just a single AsciiDoc document rendered to a static site via Netlify. Useful for Go developers who want a second opinion on their style choices, not for anyone looking for code to depend on.

Comes from someone who has reviewed a huge amount of production Go code, so the advice reflects actual recurring mistakes rather than textbook rules. It's short enough to read in 15 minutes with no filler. Points like 'accept interfaces, return structs' and avoiding package-level state are stated with concrete reasoning, not just slogans.

Untouched since February 2020 — some of the error-handling guidance predates `errors.Is`/`errors.As` and the wrapping conventions that became idiomatic afterward. It reads like converted slide notes in places rather than finished prose, since it started life as a conference talk. There's no code here to exercise, and the repo itself (Makefile, Gemfile, AsciiDoc build) is just the static-site plumbing — none of it matters if you're just reading the content on the web.
