opc ua server and client testing
A small C project pairing an OPC UA server and client built on open62541, meant to poll tags from any OPC UA server on a configurable interval and log the values to files. It reads like a personal test harness for an industrial automation setup, not a general-purpose tool.
- Uses open62541, which is the OPC UA stack most people actually reach for in C, so the protocol handling itself isn't reinvented
- Splits concerns into separate files (intfopcua, intfjson, getdata, timer) rather than one monolithic client.cpp
- Configuration-driven tag list (name, type, interval) via a JSON file means you don't recompile to change what's polled
- Compiled binaries (libopen62541.so, libjson-c.a, etc.) are committed straight into 3rdParty/bin — no submodules, no fetched releases, just prebuilt .so files for i386 and x64 checked into git
- Zero stars, one fork, last commit in 2018 — no CI, no tests, no indication it still builds against a current open62541 release
- README is three sentences and a build command; no explanation of the JSON config schema, no example output format, no error handling notes
- No license file, so legally nobody can safely reuse or fork this beyond looking at it
