Generic C OPC-UA client able to read/write variables from/to an OPC-UA Server
A single C source file wrapping open62541 to read and write scalar variables (bools, ints, floats, strings) from an OPC-UA server. It's the low-level comms piece pulled out of Spazio IT's industrial automation stack, useful mainly as a reference for basic open62541 client calls.
Covers the common scalar type conversions between OPC-UA variants and native C types, which is the tedious part of using open62541 directly. CC0 licensing means zero friction to copy the relevant functions into your own project. Small enough (one file) to read start to finish in a few minutes and understand exactly what it does.
No build instructions, no CMakeLists, and no stated open62541 version it was built against, so getting it compiling is on you. No error handling shown for connection drops or failed reads beyond whatever open62541 itself returns. No arrays, structs, or complex OPC-UA types, just scalars. One commit, one star, last touched in 2020, so treat this as a code snippet to lift from rather than a library to depend on.
