Duke it out in a battle of somewhat epic proportions!

Source for Drifter Fight Night, a small Unity platform fighter with 8 characters, shipped on itch.io for PC/Mac. Useful mainly as a reference for how a solo/small team structured a fighting game's moveset data in Unity, not as a library or anything meant for reuse.

Attack data is split into ScriptableObject assets per character (Boof.asset, Dair.asset, Dair_Launcher.asset, etc.) instead of being hardcoded in scripts, which keeps movesets tunable without touching code - a sane pattern for fighting-game hit/hitstun tables. It's a finished, shipped game with full asset coverage (title screen, character select, stage select, status-effect animations like stunned/grabbed/planted), not an abandoned prototype. Per-character animation controllers keep each fighter's state machine isolated, so adding a 9th character doesn't require touching everyone else's.

Pinned to Unity 2019 LTS; the README's claim that 'the most recent version should do' is wrong for a project this old and anyone opening it in current Unity will eat asset/script upgrade warnings. No license file, so anyone who forks it to 'add your own characters' as the README suggests has no idea what they're legally allowed to do with the code or art. No actual C# source is visible in the tree beyond data assets and .meta files, so the combat/physics code quality can't be judged from what's exposed, and there's no documentation anywhere on how input, hit detection, or game state actually work. No tests, no CI, and 'send us a message' is the entire contribution process.
