Literature references for “Designing Data-Intensive Applications, 2nd edition”

A companion repository to Martin Kleppmann and Chris Riccomini's Designing Data-Intensive Applications (2nd edition), listing live links to the papers, blog posts, and talks cited in each chapter. It's for readers of the book who want to actually click through to the source material instead of retyping citations into a search bar.

Organizing references per chapter mirrors the book's structure exactly, so finding the footnote you want is fast if you have the book open. Fixing broken links via PR is a low-friction contribution model that fits the repo's single purpose. As a side effect, it's a genuinely useful standalone bibliography of distributed systems and database papers, even for people who never crack open the book.

There's no automated link checking - broken links only get fixed when a reader notices and bothers to submit a PR, which undercuts the stated goal of staying 'up-to-date' for a repo with 489 stars and presumably thousands of silent readers. It's organized by book chapter rather than by topic, so it's hard to use as a reference index if you don't already own the book. The CC BY-NC license on what is essentially a list of hyperlinks to other people's public work is an odd restriction to put on it.
