A window switcher for macOS built in Rust using the gpui framework

A macOS Cmd+Tab-style window/app switcher written in Rust on top of Zed's gpui UI framework, using a Swift helper library for accessibility APIs. Aimed at macOS power users who want a faster, more configurable alternative to the built-in app switcher.

Uses gpui directly for the UI instead of Electron or a web wrapper, keeping the binary presumably small and native-feeling. The architecture cleanly separates concerns (commander for input handling, socket for IPC with a Swift helper, hotkey, tray, window) rather than jamming everything into main.rs. Ships a real DMG release and CI workflow, so it's not just a toy someone forgot to package.

Explicitly a learning project per the README, so expect rough edges and unaddressed bugs rather than a polished tool. Mixing Rust and Swift via a socket/protobuf bridge is a heavier dependency chain than necessary (protobuf, swift-protobuf, Xcode CLT) for what should be a simple accessibility API call, which raises the maintenance and build-fragility bar for contributors. No tests visible anywhere in the tree, and the config/theme system isn't documented beyond a raw config.toml asset, so customization requires reading source. Distribution requires manually stripping the quarantine attribute since it's unsigned/unnotarized, which is a real friction point for casual users.
