giri7794/OPC-UA-Server-Client-Example-using-open62541
This repository contains a simple, functional OPC UA server implementation in C++ on Raspberry Pi (64-bit) and a matching Qt C++ client for Windows 11. The communication uses the open-source open62541 stack for OPC UA protocol compliance.
A minimal OPC UA client/server demo pairing a C++ server on Raspberry Pi with a Qt client on Windows, both built on the open62541 stack. It's useful as a bare-bones onboarding example for open62541's C API, not as something you'd build on.
Splits concerns cleanly into a headless server and a GUI client talking over the actual OPC UA wire protocol rather than faking it. Wrapping the open62541 C API in C++ wrapper classes (opcua_server_wrapper, opcua_client_wrapper) is the right instinct for a C library used from C++. README gives exact build commands for both platforms instead of vague setup prose.
Zero stars, zero forks, one push, no commit history to speak of — effectively untested by anyone but the author. The client only reads values; no write or subscription support, and the TODO admits security (Basic256Sha256) was never implemented, so this is an insecure, read-only toy, not a reference for real deployments. Vendoring the open62541 amalgamated .c/.h straight into client_qt/includes with no note on which version or how to regenerate it is a maintenance trap. No license file, no tests, no CI — nothing stopping this from silently rotting once open62541's API moves on.
