Curso introductorio a Next.js con App Directory

// the take

A free, Spanish-language, project-based course that teaches Next.js 15's App Router by building a single app (a restaurant directory) end to end, covering Server/Client Components, routing, caching, metadata, and Server Actions. It's aimed at developers who already know basic React/JS and want a guided, hands-on path into App Router rather than scattered docs.

Builds one real app incrementally instead of disconnected snippets, so concepts compound instead of resetting each section. It spends real time on the part of App Router most people get wrong: the difference between cache: 'force-cache'/'no-store', revalidate, and revalidatePath/revalidateTag. Uses an actual external data source (a published Google Sheet) instead of hardcoded mocks, which forces the student to deal with real fetch latency and caching behavior. Ships a companion video walkthrough alongside the written material for people who prefer that format.

Primary content is Spanish-only; the English and Portuguese versions are translated READMEs, not translated course prose, so non-Spanish speakers lose most of the actual teaching text. It's locked to a specific Next.js 15 snapshot of App Router APIs, and the README itself flags that cacheLife/cacheTag and PPR are still changing, so parts will go stale as the framework moves. Google Sheets as a 'database' is a deliberate teaching shortcut with its own quirks (publish delay, CSV parsing breaking on commas) that doesn't transfer to anything resembling production. There's no coverage of testing App Router apps, which is a real gap for anyone trying to go from tutorial to shipping something.

We read the README, the directory tree and a key source file in October 2026. Nobody pays to be listed. How we judge →
