Source code related to Next.js 13 (and above) tutorial series on YouTube
A collection of standalone Next.js 13/14 demo apps, each covering one App Router topic in isolation: data fetching, mutations, rendering strategies, route handlers, and routing patterns (parallel routes, intercepting routes, route groups). Built to accompany a YouTube tutorial series, so it's aimed at developers learning the App Router feature by feature rather than looking for a starter template.
Each demo is scoped to a single concept, so you can open routing-demo and see parallel/intercepting routes in isolation without unrelated code getting in the way. The routing-demo project in particular walks through the harder-to-grasp patterns (@slots, (.) and (..) interception, route groups) with working examples instead of just docs snippets. Zero shared dependencies between demos means you can copy just the one folder you need.
No tests anywhere, and no README content beyond the boilerplate create-next-app text in most subfolders, so there's no written explanation independent of the video. Last pushed June 2024, targeting Next 13/14 conventions that have already shifted (App Router APIs, caching defaults) as of Next 15, so some patterns are stale. It's tutorial-project code, not production-shaped: no error boundaries beyond the one demo folder that covers them, no env config, no CI. Value is entirely tied to watching the corresponding YouTube videos, since the code alone doesn't explain the why behind each pattern.
