A Home Assistant Integration for Bambu Lab Printers

A Home Assistant custom integration for Bambu Lab 3D printers, talking to the printer over local MQTT and to Bambu's cloud for auth. It's for HA users running Bambu printers who want print status, camera feed, AMS spool tracking, and control (fans, lights, print actions) as native HA entities rather than jumping into Bambu Studio or the app.

Genuinely broad hardware coverage — mock JSON fixtures exist per printer model (A1, P1P, X1C, H2D, H2S, X2D, P2S) and get exercised in a real pytest suite, not just smoke tests. CI is more than decorative: hassfest validation, a translation-parity check, and a dedicated test workflow all run on PRs. Ships its own bundled lovelace cards (AMS, spool, print status/control) as compiled JS, so you're not stitching together generic HA cards to get a usable dashboard. HMS error code translations are pulled and shipped for 20+ languages with scripts to refresh them, which is unusually thorough for a hobby integration.

The repo bundles TLS certs for Bambu's cloud/local endpoints directly in source (pybambu/certs) — that's a reverse-engineered protocol dependency baked into the codebase, and it breaks (as it periodically has for this integration) whenever Bambu rotates certs or changes auth. README is just badges and links out to a separate docs.page site with no inline quickstart, so you can't evaluate setup or entity behavior without leaving the repo. As a HACS custom component it's outside HA's default integration review process, so updates and cert/auth fixes depend entirely on this one maintainer's cadence. Cloud auth flow (bambu_cloud.py) means core functionality has a hard external dependency on Bambu's servers even for printers on the same LAN, unless you're set up for pure LAN mode.
