Desktop notification for your console Logs

A ~50-line JavaScript snippet that monkey-patches console.log (and adds logger.log) to fire desktop notifications, so you can see debug output without keeping devtools open. It's for frontend devs doing local debugging who want console messages to surface even when the browser tab is unfocused.

Does exactly one small thing and the source is short enough to read and vendor yourself in five minutes. logger.destroy() cleanly restores original console.log behavior instead of leaving your console permanently monkey-patched. Zero dependencies, so there's no supply-chain surface to worry about for something this trivial.

No commits or releases since May 2024 and the TODO list (custom icons, unwrapping logged objects) was never touched, so treat it as frozen, not maintained. Relies on the Notification API, meaning it silently does nothing without a permission prompt/grant and won't work in Node or non-browser contexts despite being marketed as a general console tool. No tests, no TypeScript types, and the minified build is checked into the repo rather than generated by a build step. The 1000+ stars is misleading for what's essentially a single-file gist; there's no real API surface to grow into.
