A website that displays hundreds of R charts with their code

This is the source for r-graph-gallery.com — several hundred R charts across ~40 categories, each with the exact code that produced it. It's a reference for R users who want copy-pasteable ggplot2/base R/lattice code for a specific chart type rather than a library or package.

Every example ships as a working .Rmd next to its rendered .html, so you can actually see the code that made the chart instead of guessing from a screenshot. Coverage is wide — it spans base plots, ggplot2, interactive htmlwidgets (plotly, leaflet), and maps, so most common chart types have an entry. Reproducibility is real, not aspirational: outputs are pre-rendered and checked in, so nothing is broken by a stale dependency at read time.

The repo is the rendered site, not a package — hundreds of generated .html files and figure-html PNGs are committed directly, which bloats the clone and makes diffs noisy for anything but a trivial content fix. There's no index or search inside the repo itself; navigation only really works through the live website, so browsing on GitHub is painful. File naming is inconsistent (numeric prefixes, duplicate ranges, typos like 'saveral') which suggests organic growth without any pass to clean up structure. Contribution guidelines live on the wiki rather than the README or a CONTRIBUTING.md, so it's an extra hop before you know how to add an example.
