A curated list of awesome resources for Electronic Engineers and hobbyists
An awesome-list for electronics engineering: EDA tools, simulators, PCB fabs, part search, learning resources, forums, and YouTube channels. Covers the full breadth of the hobby and professional EE stack. Useful as a starting point when you don't know what tools exist in a domain.
Well-organized by category so you can navigate directly to what you need (simulators, gerber viewers, PCB fabs) without reading everything. The PCB fab comparison section is genuinely useful — it names real services with honest positioning rather than pretending one option fits all. KiCad and Eagle sections have concrete tool links, not just the main homepage. Active enough to have added tscircuit and KiCanvas, which are recent additions to the EDA ecosystem.
Maintenance is uneven — Eagle is listed as a primary free EDA option even though Autodesk killed the free tier and then effectively killed the product itself. Several external links in older sections are dead or stale. The list has grown wide but not deep: it tells you a simulator exists but doesn't say when you'd pick ngspice over LTspice or Qucs. No coverage of RF/microwave tooling, signal integrity, or power electronics simulation beyond a single pointer to another list.
