// the take
A small React/Vite/TypeScript site that lists and lets you fuzzy-search custom GPTs from OpenAI's GPT Store, with a detail view per entry. It's for someone who wants a lightweight, self-hostable directory/browser for GPT Store listings rather than scrolling OpenAI's own UI.
Genuinely tiny and easy to read — routes, components, and a single gpthub.json data file, no backend or database involved. Client-side fuzzy search over name/description is a real usability win over the stock GPT Store search. Ships a GH Pages deploy workflow so standing up your own fork/instance is close to zero-config.
Last commit is November 2023 and the GPT Store itself has faded as a product, so the listing data in gpthub.json is almost certainly stale and there's no visible scraper/update pipeline in the repo to refresh it. Everything is a static JSON blob with no backend, so there's no way to get fresh or complete data without someone manually editing that file. No tests, no TypeScript strictness signals, and no contribution activity in two years means any bug you hit you're fixing yourself.
