// the take
A source plugin for lx-music that implements search, streaming, and lyrics lookup against five Chinese music platforms (QQ Music, NetEase/wangyi, Kugou, Kuwo, Migu) by reverse-engineering their private web APIs, following the same approach as the listen1 Chrome extension. It's for lx-music users who want these specific platforms as playback sources, not a general-purpose library.
Ships a single bundled dist/lx-music-source.js that drops straight into lx-music's plugin loader with no build step for consumers. Five platforms in one codebase with one file per source (kg.js, kw.js, mg.js, tx.js, wy.js) keeps the per-platform logic easy to isolate and patch. Reuses API logic from listen1_chrome_extension, a provider implementation that's already survived real-world use against these same platforms.
Depends entirely on undocumented, unofficial endpoints of commercial streaming services — any signing scheme or auth change on their end breaks the plugin with no warning, and there's no test suite to catch it. Last push was mid-2024; these scraping targets typically rot within months, so there's a real chance several sources are already dead. No docs on what each source actually supports (lyrics, bitrate tiers, search quality), so you have to read the source files to know what you're getting. No visible rate limiting or backoff, which risks IP bans against these platforms' anti-scraping measures, and using it means routing around paid services' access controls, which is a legal gray area in most jurisdictions.
