one for all free music in china (chrome extension, also works for firefox)

A browser extension that puts search and playback for NetEase, QQ Music, Kugou, Kuwo, Bilibili, Migu and Taihe behind one player UI. It is mostly useful to listeners in China or anyone who wants that catalogue in a browser tab, and it is a readable example of how a multi-provider player is organised. The last code push was June 2025, so treat it as a reference rather than a maintained product.

Each service lives in its own file under js/provider/, and the provider interface was refactored into classes, so a broken upstream API usually means editing one file. The V2.9.0 source fallback, marked Beta in the README, searches other services when a track has no playable source, which is what separates this from a plain multi-site search box. The extension has no backend of its own: the provider code calls the services directly from the browser, so there is nothing to host and no server holding user data. It was moved to Manifest V3 in June 2025, and Chrome no longer runs Manifest V2 extensions.

Every provider depends on private, undocumented endpoints, and the changelog shows Kugou, Kuwo, QQ, Migu and Bilibili each being broken and fixed several times. Nothing in the repo suggests anyone is watching for the next break. The README records a 2017 DMCA takedown of the main repository, and a fork inherits the same exposure because the product plays catalogue these services never licensed to it. Dependencies are vendored as minified files in js/vendor, AngularJS is still among them, and the Firefox build is a manual swap of manifest_firefox.json over manifest.json. The only CI workflow in the tree is ESLint. The main README and most of the changelog are in Chinese, so the history is hard to read for anyone who does not read it.
