// the take
An iOS RSS/Atom reader app ("已阅") written in Objective-C, using MWFeedParser for parsing and CoreData for local storage. It's a shipped App Store product rather than a toy demo, useful as a reference for Objective-C UIKit app structure, but the author abandoned it in 2017 in favor of a separate rewrite (GCDFetchFeed).
Full feature set for a feed reader - offline reading, starring, mark-as-read/mark-all-as-read, feed subscription management, and article sharing, all implemented and working in a released app. Uses established third-party libraries (AFNetworking, MWFeedParser, MBProgressHUD) for networking, parsing and UI rather than rolling its own, which was still a reasonable choice at the time. The CoreData model has already gone through multiple schema versions (RSS, RSS 2, RSS 3), so there's a real example of iterating a CoreData schema to look at.
Dead project: no commits since February 2017, and the README explicitly redirects users to a different, newer repo for anything current - this one is frozen. Built entirely on pre-ARC-era Objective-C patterns and manual CoreData with no migration path to Swift/SwiftUI, so there's nothing here to build forward from. Depends on a bundled binary blob (libPushSDK.a) with no documentation of what push service it talks to or how to rebuild it, and the third-party pods (AFNetworking, MWFeedParser) are pinned to 2017-era versions with no guarantee they still work against modern iOS networking/TLS requirements. No meaningful test coverage - the test target is a single empty stub file.
