netguru/sticky-parallax-header

★ 2,026 · TypeScript · MIT · updated Oct 2024

A simple React Native library, enabling the creation of fully customized header for your iOS and Android apps.

A React Native library for building sticky/parallax header layouts (tabbed, avatar, details) on scroll views and FlashLists. Aimed at mobile devs who want a pre-built pattern for profile or detail screens without hand-rolling scroll-driven header animations.

TypeScript throughout with a real Docusaurus docs site covering guides for react-navigation integration, pull-to-refresh, and custom icons, not just an API dump. Three ready-made header variants plus a fully custom option, and FlashList support alongside the older tabbed-header-list pattern. Active CI (Bitrise) and a working Expo Snack demo, so you can try it before installing anything.

Last push was October 2024, so it's been roughly a year without updates. The documented install command (`yarn add react-native-sticky-parallax-header@rc`) points at a release-candidate tag rather than the default npm version, which is a red flag if you just run `yarn add react-native-sticky-parallax-header` and get something older or different from what's documented. Hard dependency on react-native-reanimated means you inherit its native-linking and version-matching headaches, and there's no mention in the README of test coverage or how animation behavior is verified across RN versions.
