operator-framework/awesome-operators
A resource tracking a number of Operators out in the wild.
A crowdsourced markdown table listing Kubernetes Operators built by the community, organized by application (databases, storage, messaging, monitoring, etc). It was useful in 2018-2020 as a discovery index before OperatorHub existed, but the repo itself explicitly says it's dead.
The historical snapshot is genuinely broad, hundreds of operators across nearly every category of stateful workload, so if you're researching how a specific class of software (e.g. Cassandra, Kafka) got operator-ized, the entries and dates are a useful paper trail. It's just a README, so there's zero setup or dependency risk in browsing it.
The repo has been archived since 2021 and the maintainers point you straight to operatorhub.io as the replacement, so this is not where you should be looking today. A large fraction of linked projects are themselves abandoned, renamed, or merged (e.g. several Cassandra and Kafka operators listed side by side with no indication of which one won), so the list has no curation signal, just chronological accumulation. There's no code, no CI, no way to verify any entry still works, and no de-duplication, several products appear multiple times under different vendor forks with no guidance on which to pick.
