Build a beautiful Home Assistant dashboard easily

Mushroom is a set of Lovelace cards for Home Assistant dashboards, covering most entity types from lights and climate to locks, covers and vacuums, plus chips and a template badge. It suits people who want a tidy dashboard without writing YAML or adding a second card framework.

The visual editor covers every card and option, so YAML is a choice rather than a requirement, which many Lovelace add-ons do not offer. It ships as a single bundled mushroom.js with no runtime dependencies, so there is no second add-on to install or keep in step with it. Light and dark theme support and a palette based on Material UI colors let the cards pick up the host theme without per-card styling, and translations run through Weblate with a clear maintainer checklist for adding a language.

The project says outright that it will not go deep on customization and points people to button-card and UI Lovelace Minimalist for that, so anyone wanting per-state layouts or templated styling will hit the ceiling quickly. Card-mod support is unresolved: the README declines to document it and links an open issue, which matters if your setup already depends on it. Several features need recent Home Assistant releases (the template badge needs 2024.8 or later), and the troubleshooting section is mostly 'clear the cache and reinstall', which suggests stale cached resources are a common source of confusion.
