Networking library for Minecraft in Python
A Minecraft networking library for Python offering buffer parsing, packet abstractions, and NBT/data-structure handling for protocol version 1.18.1. Useful for anyone building a Python-based Minecraft server or client implementation.
Separates transport layer (socket/asyncio) from packet definitions, so you can swap implementations without touching protocol code. Covers a lot of packet types for a single protocol version (chat, entities, player list, command blocks, etc.), and includes NBT and region file test fixtures showing it was tested against real game data.
Officially archived and superseded by mcproto, so you're adopting a dead end from day one. Only supports protocol 1.18.1 with no path to newer versions, which is a dealbreaker given how fast Minecraft's protocol changes. No usage examples or docs beyond a feature bullet list, so you'd need to read source to figure out how to wire up a client/server.
